Mission

Our mission is to ignite and sustain a global culture of prayer and worship, equipping believers—individually and corporately—to host the presence of God, fuel the 24/7 Moravian Lampstand, and advance the Kingdom of Heaven until the Lamb receives the reward of His suffering.

Vision

Global Prayer Storm exists to restore and release the Moravian model of the Watch of the Lord into homes, prayer rooms, and churches around the world, releasing the fragrance of intercession and worship that impacts and advances the Kingdom of Heaven.

The movement mobilizes believers, both individually and corporately, through guided resources and biblical teaching that fuel the 24/7 Moravian Lampstand, raising a unified cry of worship and petition throughout the earth: “May the Lamb receive the reward of His suffering.”

Our Prayer Focuses

Global Prayer Storm intercedes through seven core prayer focuses:

Crisis Intervention — Standing in the gap for those experiencing disaster, war, persecution, and humanitarian crisis.
Governmental Leadership — Leaders who govern with justice, humility, wisdom, and the fear of the Lord.
Israel and the Middle East — Peace, salvation, and God's purposes among His covenant people and throughout the region.

History

In 2007, James Goll had a God encounter in which he saw the words “Prayer Storm.” The Lord commissioned him to restore the Global Moravian Lampstand and release a modern Watch of the Lord. By 2009, believers from more than 74 nations had committed to covering one hour each week in prayer, uniting hearts around the world in 24/7 intercession and worship.

Originally known simply as Prayer Storm, the ministry was renamed Global Prayer Storm in 2022 to reflect its growing international vision and mandate.

A decade after the original launch, the Lord instructed James to release the work for a season. Five years later, Jon and Jolene Hamill sensed the Lord saying it was time for James—the father of this movement—to receive the torch once again. Together with team member Susan Carter, James has been reigniting the flame since 2022.

For more than two years, Global Prayer Storm has hosted a live noontime prayer hour every Wednesday, and its reach continues to grow as the movement enters a new season.
